This is where you will find links to my short stories and other random bits of writing. Some of these were written as flash fiction entries in other blogs or websites and some are just things that I have written because I was inspired to write.

So without any further ado here they are:

Run!
This is the original version of the opening scene of what has since become my novel Hunter. It was submitted to the Fantasy Faction’s June 2011 writing challenge.

This short story started life as a 400 word flash fiction piece. It has undergone a few revisions since then and is now a complete story that I am quite proud of.

This was written for the Fantasy Faction September writing challenge. The idea was to show a fantasy villain in a humourous light.

The Night Wind
This was the back story to a Dungeons and Dragons campaign I ran a very very long time ago. I found it when I was cleaning up recently and then fixed it up so that I might submit it to Fantasy Faction’s November 2011 writing challenge

Revenant
This is an ongoing serial story originally being written as part of the Six Sentence Sunday series of posts on this blog, and now continued as part of the Weekend Writing Warriors. The link below contains the story so far.

Hubris
This was a short flash fiction piece written as part of the Thursday Threads challenge at Siobahn Muir’s blog. The story had to contain the words vines climbed over and through the wrecks and was limited to between 100 and 250 words.

Heart
This was another flash fiction piece (just over 100 words) written as part of the Thursday Threads challenge at Siobahn Muir’s blog. The story had to contain the words It was a long time ago, but the memories hadn’t faded. I called this one Heart because the brief scene was inspired by a song from Heart called “All I wanna do is make love to you.”

The Poem
