Weekend Writing Warriors #132 – Revenant (Part 172)

Hi all, and let me begin by apologising for missing last week. Once again I have 8 more sentences from Revenant to share with you all, and these are the first of a change of scene. Just follow this link to see what preceded this week’s offering.

The dusty yellow of Saturn dominated the viewport, enormous grey clouds swirled amid tendrils of flowing colour contrasting sharply with the hard black edges of the colony ship, Zheng He.
“It’s so beautiful.” Kassandra said, hand on chest as she marvelled at the scene.
Ryan’s head remained fixed on the console. “This is bad, her orbit is decaying.”
    “What?”
“The ship is falling toward the planet centre,” Marcus explained. “If we can’t get her out the ship will eventually be crushed by the pressure.”

I hope you’ve enjoyed my contribution to this week’s list, and thanks for stopping by. Click on the image below to see all the wonderful writers who are taking part in this weekly event. weekend-warriors
