Weekend Writing Warriors #62 – Revenant (Part 101)

This week’s 8 sentences come to you from Sydney. As I write this I am gazing upon the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera house. Grey skies notwithstanding it’s still a spectacular view.

As always, these sentences carry on immediately from last week so if you want to see what has come before then just follow this link.

Behind him, Marcus did the same but in the opposite direction. Neither man spoke. Their training and experience made them an effective team. They cleared the area in seconds, and when the last husk fell the two soldiers left the room to continue their sweep of the ground level. Most of the rooms were empty, and they cleared those that were occupied with practiced efficiency.
    Only the vault level remained.
“Aren’t we supposed to capture one of them?” Marcus asked when they returned to the central hub.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my contribution to this week’s list, and thanks for stopping by. Click on the image below to see all the wonderful writers who are taking part in this weekly event. weekend-warriors

  1. They sound like strong soldiers. I wonder what Marcus’s partner will say in response. Good snippet. I’ve always wanted to see Sydney and it sounds like a great city.

  2. I wondering if capturing one of them is going to be as easy as “clearing” them. And I’m curious about what they’ll find in the vault level.
Hope you’re enjoying your time in Sydney.
