Weekend Writing Warriors #60 – Revenant (Part 99)

Started this morning with a bit of exercise in the name of charity as I participated in the annual Cystic Fibrosis fun run (http://rchfoundation.com.au/event/anglingforacure2014). A great start to the day for both the body and the soul.

Today, as always, I have another 8 sentences from Revenant. These sentences carry on immediately from last week so if you want to see what has come before then just follow this link.

The massive glass panels forming the exterior wall let in plenty of light despite not having been cleaned for more than a hundred years. A luxury after a career spent combing through the narrow confines of derelict starships.
Ryan felt he could get used to such light and wide open spaces. It was nice too, not having to worry about oxygen supply or explosive decompression. Now that he thought about it, Earth really did have a lot to offer humanity. Provided of course, they get to the bottom of this pesky zombie plague.
“I’m detecting movement up ahead,” Marcus’ said. “Second door on the left.”

I hope you’ve enjoyed my contribution to this week’s list, and thanks for stopping by. Click on the image below to see all the wonderful writers who are taking part in this weekly event. weekend-warriors

  1. I can see how a zombie plague would be a bit of a problem! Love the reference to the window that hadn’t been cleaned in 100 years and the fact that he appreciated it nonetheless. Great detail.
