Weekend Writing Warriors #37 – Revenant (Part 76)

Hello all, its Sunday again and that means its time for the next 8 sentences of Revenant. I’d like to thank everyone who comes by each week and leaves comments, it is your continued encouragement and feedback that keeps me moving forward with this project. 76 weeks of a few sentences at a time have resulted in what is so far a 7,650 word story and there’s still plenty left. Thanks for making this project fun 🙂

As always, these sentences carry on immediately after last week’s snippet so if you want to refresh your memory about what’s happened you can simply follow this link.

She cracked the seal on the bag and retrieved the folded sheet of paper inside, her eyes scanning the document. “Okay, we need to find container 37 dash 1 dot 4 dot 6,” she said, turning her head from side to side before pointing to their left. “That’s the one, just over there.”
Ryan looked across to where she indicated. Just another brushed metal box with a keypad and a light, though much larger than the one they’d just opened.
Kassandra took the paper with her and approached the box. She held it in one quivering hand, while she entered a long series of numbers into the keypad.
Crash. A loud clang echoed through the vault.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my contribution to this week’s list, and thanks for stopping by. Click on the image below to see all the wonderful writers who are taking part in this weekly event. weekend-warriors
