Its father’s day here in Australia and I awake to the glorious sounds of silence. A few precious hours of alone time to do some writing before the rest of the world intrudes and makes it impossible to concentrate.
Kassandra’s not quite done nutting through her puzzle, and this week she even manages to get Ryan worried. As always, if you want to refresh your memory about what’s happened you can simply follow this link.
“What do you propose?”
“My samples alone won’t be enough. I’ll have to study one of them too.”
“You’ll never be allowed to bring one of them to Purgatory. It’s far too dangerous.”
Kassandra shook her head. “We need to take risks if we’re serious about beating this thing.”
“Perhaps, but not that. Never that.”
I hope you’ve enjoyed my contribution to this week’s list, and thanks for stopping by. Click on the image below to see all the wonderful writers who are taking part in this weekly event.
Definitely a wonderful level of apprehension and worry raised by this snippet. Nicely done. Good post.
Nicely done. I’m loving the tension. Happy Father’s day too.
Very nice!
Never bring the creatures home to study!!! I so enjoy this story…another terrific snippet and now i’m all worried about them…
Happy Father’s Day!!!! This bit is awesome, “Perhaps, but not that. Never that.”
I admire her determination, but I agree with Ryan. Do your sampling there. Eep. Great snippet, Goran. 🙂
Definitely not that, I totally agree.
